Blessed be
"Do not trap light into glass jars to prove it exists."
“It cracks my heart wide open to think of all of us out there, wandering the world, so deeply hungry to be known. Defying our own disbelief in search of rest and respite.
It is the most beautiful thing, this universal human longing. We have not given up on the idea that we might one day taste it, at least some sense of it. However brief. However transient. However impossible to hold. It might be out there, so we keep seeking.
This, to me, is tremendously, tenderly, beautiful.”
~ Jeanette LeBlanc
Time forgets to rush me forward.
I have stopped asking the wind for more,
No longer salted by old winters,
trampled by ghosts
that wore my own face
Nothing feels postponed,
feels missing.
No more leaving water stains
in the shape of apologies.
My lungs have been taught a softer arithmetic.
Do not count the unopened calendars
that could have been stitched into
the lining of my nights.
You have given me a lifetime,
euphoria melting like frost in the morning sunlight.
I collect love like seaglass,
let it cut my skin.
To create a home,
which I cannot be late to.
Do not trap light into glass jars
to prove it exists.
Stay faithful to the moon,
to yourself.
Dear reader, I imagine you must have gotten tired of all the love poems by now. How brave of you to read this footnote, alas. I will not put the work down, though. Rather, I will continue to describe and portray the love I feel for this incredible man that I am fortunate enough to be able to love to my fullest potential. Just as much as I want to love myself.

They could never make me get tired of your love poems <3
