The hurricane
I do not intend on losing you
𓆩♡𓆪 Alis volat propriis - he flies by his own wings 𓆩♡𓆪
As though I could fold my soul in paper’s grace,
And send it drifting, sealed, to your handsome face.
You, who built a home within my chest,
Shaping chaos into form, unbidden guest.
How was I so naive?
To think you’d not reside where I believe
For in each thought, your echo takes it’s claim,
No shard left untouched by your name.
You dwell in my heart and mind, impossible to reach yet near,
And though I weep no more, still the roots appear.
The garden blooms from tears I haven’t cried,
Self-hatred wilted where your warmth complied.
Perhaps I have found was I needed,
You are a whispered desire, the piece that needed to be completed.
A mirrored flame my spirit can’t reverse,
The other half my being dares rehearse.
I doubt that you will ever read this. Unless I send it to you. And I am rather okay with that. I’d almost call it insensible and inappropriate if you did see this. You would know what I mean.
I will bury this soul onto this page, let my feelings wither away as time passes this upcoming winter.
