This made me tear up, I was in a long-distance relationship for two years and it remains both the easiest and the hardest thing I've ever done. You write so eloquently, it's amazing how well you capture emotion without directly stating it. "The house keeps looking over its shoulder. So do I." was my favourite part, don't ever stop writing.
